Year 2 have been very busy going back to 1666 and learning about The Great Fire of London. The children made their own Tudor houses using boxes, paper, paint and fabric and then we recreated what happened in the fire! We talked about how the materials we used may be affected by the fire and heat and the children all recorded their predictions. Here are some photos of the super afternoon we had. We will be busy writing down our findings this morning! Thank you to Mrs Applegate who helped us carry out a risk assessment and was our fire marshal! We were all very impressed with how sensible the children were doing this experiment.
