Everybody had a brilliant day! The children were so well behaved and were a delight to take. Parent helpers were great – many thanks. Well done Reception!
We have had an exciting day. In assembly, we explored how to blow a giant balloon in one breath and kept a giant football in the air.
Each year group has had a workshop run by the ‘Mad Science’ company. They explored the colours we can see in light and learnt about static energy with hair-raising results! We are sure the children are keen to tell you about everything they have done.
Photos to follow…
A reminder that for this Friday, all Reception children need a jar with a lid, a plastic tub (could be a margarine/houmous tub), and a small toy that will fit inside the jar. We haven’t had many in yet.
It would be helpful if we got these in before Friday as we need to glue the toys into the jar lids.
Don’t forget, class photos tomorrow!
On Friday 8th June the whole school are having a Science Day.
In Reception we are carrying out a task which will require each child to have a small glass jar with lid and a small toy which will fit inside the jar (and that you don’t mind being used for a science experiment!)
Could children in Reception please also bring in a small named Tupperware pot/margarine tub/houmous tub to put their slime in which they will be making on this day.
Enjoy half term and thanks in advance!
A copy of this letter will come home in book bags when we return after half term.
On Wednesday, we were lucky enough to have Ved visit to play us the saxophone! Ved has only been playing for 2 years and he was so amazing and inspiring – the children loved it!
Thank you to the kitchen staff for making some lovely crown biscuits yesterday for our Kings and Queens Day. The children enjoyed them!
Yesterday, we had a royal day learning about Kings and Queens.
Reception made royal cupcakes and watched/learnt about the royal wedding.
Year One learnt about Queen Victoria and made Victorian toys.
Year Two learnt about Henry VIII and Tudor times, and made a collage Tudor rose.
Thank you for all your support with costumes, everyone looked great!
