Midday Supervisory Assistant Required

POST:  MSA 7.5 HOURS per week TEMPORARY TERM TIME only for 1 year (pending review of staffing needs) (11.45am-1.15pm Monday to Friday) SCALE POINT 6

The Wensum Trust is seeking to appoint MSA’s at Arden Grove Infant & Nursery School, part of the Wensum Trust family of schools. We are looking to appoint people who:

  • Enjoy working with and supporting children across the age range (Nursery –Y2).
  • Are enthusiastic, approachable, friendly and hardworking.
  • Demonstrate patience, consistency and fairness.
  • Will be able to follow all school policies.
  • Work within our school ethos to deal with problems to support children’s development.
  • Are flexible and communicate well in a team.

The MSA roles and responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and engaging with play when supporting outside.
  • Providing encouragement for children eating their lunches and encourage their independence.
  • Ensuring children remain safe and follow the schools safeguarding procedures.

The successful applicant needs to have the ability to have effective communication skills and the ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice and information in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
